Supporting your business while you support your staff
In the current climate many businesses are having to make decisions regarding the way they operate with much focus being on how they can limit redundancies and best support their staff, while trying to survive themselves.
Thankfully the Government have taken steps to support businesses with this and have introduce the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme where UK businesses can Furlough employees.
What is Furlough?
Under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, all employers in the UK will be able to access support to continue paying part of employees’ wages who would otherwise have been laid off during the ongoing crisis, to avoid redundancies.
→ Furloughed workers are those have been asked to stop working but have not been made redundant.
→ Businesses can claim up to 80% of an employee’s wage
→ Although employees remain employed, they cannot work during this time for that business
This is obviously great news for the workforce and a hugely important lifeline provided by the government. However, as a business, if you no longer have a workforce, how do you keep going?
Outsource
For most of us, there will still be daily tasks which need to be undertaken, even if it’s not on the same scale as it was previously. Potentially, as you adapt to the challenges we’re facing, you may also find new ways of delivering your products or services, resulting in increased productivity and needing an extra pair of hands until you’re able to support your existing employees on a permanent basis again.
Just some of the ways we can we help:
→ Basic administration and email management
→ Social Media, Blogging and Digital Marketing
→ Create online workshops and webinars
→ Virtual minute taking
Outsourced support is not just for businesses either. We appreciate that during this time, there are bigger pressures on home life too. Take a look at our home Private Household services.
